Schultz, Loretta "Lori" Anyone who ever met Lori was truly blessed. She was the most beautiful, caring, giving, and loving person around. Anyone who had met or knew Lori must have a special place in his or her heart for her. Lori was born in Chicago, IL on June 23, 1924. She joined her true love/husband Jack in heaven on June 12, 2016. Lori was 11 days' shy of 92. The only solace we, her family, can find is knowing that she is now out of pain and has been reunited with the love of her life. A fairy tale romance that began when Jack and Lori were only four years old. Now that they are back together the story can continue on. Mike and Irene Kostre, Lori's parents, had her attend private Catholic schools while she was growing up. Lori and her parents always remained very close. On June 17, 1944 Jack and Lori were married. Eventually they moved to Chetek, Wisconsin where they owned and operated restaurants and a marina. In 1961 Lori and Jack moved to Albuquerque. They had a house built in Four Hills and bought the Jolly Knight Restaurant and Lounge. Lori's parents followed her and had a house built where in their backyards connected Lori and Jack also decided to invest in racehorses. During their horse racing years, they met a very special man, Leroy Coombs. He was not only their jockey, but also became a dear and valued friend. The horse racing days were some of the best memories that Lori carried with he to the end. Playing Bridge was Lori's other passion. One of her proudest memories was when she became a gold life master. Everyone at Duke City Bridge Club meant the world to her. We, along with Lori, would like to thank everyone there for his or her kindness over the years. Her parents, Mike and Irene, preceded Lori in death. She also lost her husband Jack in January of 2010. She is survived by here three children: Michele Bowman (and husband Chuck), son Jack Schultz, Jr., and daughter Lori Wilborn (and husband Guy). Lori also leaves behind 6 grandchildren: Michael Munson and wife Jennifer, Geoffrey Munson and wife Jen Giles, Michele McCormick, Melissa Schultz and fiancé Ben Harrison, Bud Wilborn and wife Jenna, Greg Wilborn and wife Lauren. Lori also has 8 great grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday June 22, 2016 at Queen of Heaven Church: 5311 Phoenix Ave. NE. The rosary begins at 9:30AM, followed by the mass at 10:00AM. A private family gathering will be held afterwards. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the charity of your choice or the Cancer Society since Lori had previously suffered from and successfully overcome two bouts with cancer. We send out our sincere apologies if we have not informed anyone of Lori's passing. Monday information can be found at www.riversidefunerals.com Condolences and/or signing of the guest book can be done at the above address.
