Edward Michael Candelaria

Edward Michael Candelaria, age 51, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, beloved father, husband, grandfather, brother, died on August 31, 2016. Edward died in the comfort of his own home after a terrible battle with cancer. He was born on October 16, 1965 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Trinidad and Ernest Candelaria. Edward was preceded by his brother, Rudy Candelaria; sisters, Denise Candelaria, and Maryann Sedillo; and brother, Ernest Candelaria. He is survived by his wife, Anna Candelaria; son, Matthew Martinez; daughter, Victoriana Baquero; son, Raymond Baquero; granddaughters, Aubrianna Martinez and Payton Griego; sisters, Melba Candelaria and Husband Juan Gutierrez, Diana Candaleria, and Gloria Chacon and husband George Chacon; brothers, Louise Candelaria and Cindy Saiz, Lawrence Candelaria, Efren Candelaria and many other family and friends. Edward Built his life around his family, those kids we his life. He loved his kids unconditionally even though they we not his biologically. He recognized what need to be done upon the death of his sister in law Patricia Padilla and he and His wife Anna Candelaria raise them like their own. Edward was never one to shy from helping others. just one example of his big heart was when he was working at the zoo and saved a kid that had fallen in with the seals so without any regard for his safety he jumped in after and rescued him. he received an award from the City of Albuquerque.
