Gilbert Primo Martinez
April 24th, 1928 - October 29th, 2016
Gilbert (Primo) Martinez passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016. Gilbert was born in Clovis, NM on 4/24/1928 to Ciprian and Raymond Martinez and was one of 11 brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his wife Antonia of over 50 years and his two sons Roland and Christopher. He is survived by his sons Ben Martinez and wife Lois, Ronald Martinez and wife Patricia, Donald Martinez, daughter-in-law Jeannie Martinez, 12 grandchildren and 14-great grandchildren. Gilbert worked at GE for 25 years and was a veteran of the Air Force. He enjoyed dancing, whistling, fishing and camping. He also loved telling stories and jokes. We will all miss him deeply. A rosary will be held at 8:30 a.m. on November 7, 2016, followed by a mass at the Shrine of St. Bernadette Church. A private burial will be held at a later date. Please join us in honoring Gilbert at a reception following the mass at the St. Bernadette Parish Hall. Arrangements entrusted to: Riverside Funeral Home (505) 764-9663
