Tafoya, Jose Simon Jan 5,1951-Mar 19,2017 Jose was born in Taos, NM and is survived by his parents, Florentino and Emilia Tafoya and his two older brothers, Leroy Tafoya and wife Christine, Augustine Tafoya, his longtime friend Kimberly Lopez and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Ricardo. Jose served his country honorably in the US Marines during the VietNam conflict. Jose was devoted to his Catholic faith and demonstrated it in his everyday life to all, whether those people were known or not. He was always willing to help all in whatever need was necessary. He will always be a "Shining Star" to all who knew him.
