Joe C. Valverde

Joe C. Valverde, of Albuquerque went home to be with our Lord on April 17, 2017. His final days were spent with family all around. Joe was born in Mosquero, New Mexico on March 6, 1935. He served in the United States Air Force, was a Korean war Vet, serving for the country he loved. His interest were going to church, singing specials, leading the music, cooking, and watching his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys on TV. A beloved husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa, brother, uncle, friend, that will be missed by all, and will be held in the many hearts that he touched. Joe is survived by his wife of 58 years Estella M. Valverde of Albuquerque; their 3 children, Ernestine (Erni) Zamora, Debbie L. Gaylord, and James M. Valverde all of Albuquerque, and their grandchildren Aaron Zamora, Daniel Gaylord, Vanessa Ward, Jason Zamora, Andrew Valverde, Joshua Valverde, Alexis Valverde, and Destiny Valverde. Along with his 4 great-grandchildren, brothers, sister, nieces and nephews. Honorary Pallbearers are: Daniel Gaylord and Felix Montoya Pallbearers are: Aaron Zamora, Andrew Valverde, Benjamin Montoya, Jason Zamora, Joshua Valverde, Joshua Ward. A viewing will be available at the Riverside Funeral Home from the hours of 9:30am to 11:30am with the Services following at 12:00pm to be held at the Uptown Church 1613 Arizona St. N.E. in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87110. With burial service at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico at 3:00pm Psalm 30:5 Weeping may remain for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
