Diane Gonzales

Diane Gonzales, age 64, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 4, 2017. Her husband William Gonzales of 44 years, her son William Gonzales II, her daughter Melissa Fox, and four grandchildren Bruklyn Gonzales, Devon, Nathan, and Madeline Fox survive her. Diane has two sisters, Madeline Barnitz, her twin Patricia Sakasitz, and brother John Sakasitz. Diane worked at New Futures High school and has been employed with APS for over 30 years. She dedicated her life to working with Albuquerque's youth, and as a secretary she was a pivotal influence to the administration, faculty and students. She was instrumental in the creation of New Futures community garden and enjoyed spending time there with her "APS family". Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Paradise Hills Community Center, 5901 Paradise Blvd. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations on behalf of New Futures School are being accepted by the APS Education Foundation, PO Box 25704, Albuquerque, NM 87122. Please make all checks out to the APS Education Foundation and designate it to "New Futures on behalf of Diane Gonzales".
