Raymond Romero

Raymond Romero of Bernalillo New Mexico passed away peacefully in his home the early morning of June 11th, 2017 surrounded by his loving children. He is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Helen J. Romero. He is survived by his three children Sharon A. Navarro, Ray C. Romero (Andrea), and Christina J. Silvers (Roman). Raymond is also survived by his four devoted grandchildren Estevan Romero (Crystallynn Maestas), Samantha Navarro (RJ Ortiz), Patrick Gonzales (Loreena Chavez), and Angelina Navarro. Raymond loved spending his last days in the company of his two beautiful great grandchildren, Aubriana Elena Ortiz and Xander Ray Gonzales. Raymond was a hard worker, who spent his life providing for his family. He was a professional painter who took pride in working for Bob's Painting. In his free time Raymond liked to go fishing with the family or work on his various hot rods. Raymond also loved to watch professional football and basketball. He was an avid Raiders and Warriors fan. Raymond was a jokester who loved to make people laugh. If he cracked a joke at your expense, you know he liked you. Raymond fought a long and hard battle against emphysema. He battled until the very end. Raymond is now onto greener pastures resting in peace in the arms of his loving wife, Helen. He will be forever loved and missed by his family and friends. A Memorial Service for Mr. Romero will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, beginning at 5:00 PM at the Riverside Funeral Home of Albuquerque Chapel, 225 San Mateo Blvd. NE, (505) 764-9663.
