Rosemary Riedesel

Rosemary Riedesel, resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico since 1959, passed away Tuesday August 29th, 2017. The 29th was the eve of her 90th birthday. She was born Rosemary Pauline Dorothy of parents Morton Freer and Z. Pauline (Fisher) Dorothy in Rockford, Il. Preceded in death by brothers Morton Freer Dorothy Jr., Paul Dorothy and husband Professor M.L. "Bud" Riedesel PhD. Rosemary graduated from West Aurora High School, Ill and Cornell College, Mt. Vernon, IA with a BS in Biology & Chemistry. Married to Marvin LeRoy Riedesel 28 August 1949 in Ottawa, Il and has a son David Lee Riedesel and granddaughter Carissa Kianna Riedesel. Moved to Albuquerque in August 1959 from Ingomar - Pittsburgh, PA. Over time Rosemary enjoyed: dogs (German Shepard's), Piano (Cornell wanted her to major in piano and she said "I don't want to starve to death", camping (Think Clear Creak in the Jemez Mts. NM and Latir Lakes in northern most New Mexico), desert Turtles who lived in her back yard, her alone time watching the Jemez Mt out her bedroom window, the Sandia Mountains turning pink at sunset (for many decades she could tell you the exact time), membership in Immanuel Presbyterian Church, Tri Beta of AAAS, American Association of University Women, League of Women Voters, American Association of Clinical Chemists & association in American Chemical Society. A viewing will be held at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 114 Carlisle Blvd SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106, 505.265.7628 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM Thursday August 31st, 2017. Refreshments provided. A second viewing will be at Chapmans Funeral Home, 111 N Main St, Wheatland, IA 52777, 563.374.1523 at 12:30 PM Saturday September 2nd, 2017 with Grave side services at St. Paul's United Church of Christ Cemetery in Wheatland, IA.
