MARIA DARLENE BRENDA GONZALES It is with great sadness that the family of Maria Darlene Brenda Gonzales announce her passing. Darlene, was known to all who loved her was born on June 11, 1965 in Santa Fe. She was welcomed into the arms of our lord on September 28, 2017. We were blessed to learn patience, love and forgiveness from Darlene. She worked hard, played hard and laughed louder than anyone. She gave her soul to the love of her life, Sam Gonzales, and together they raised three daughters, Denise, Christina and Theresa. She is proceeded in death by her maternal grandparents Hipolito and Virginia Vigil, her paternal grandparents George and Stella Quintana. She is also survived by her parents, George (Anita) Quintana, Frances (Steve) Jordan; her in-laws Samuel and Frances Gonzales; sister in law Patricia (Trish) Gonzales and her children, Celeste, Aliyah and Elijah Gonzales Matovich, sister Yvonne (Bernard) Raymond and their children Joshua Raymond, Amanda (Dominic) Baca and Matthew Raymond; sister Sandra (Martin) Gabaldon and their children Sonya (Joey) Gallegos, and Amelia Gabaldon, brother Lee A. (Nancy) Wright and their children Marina and Daniel; brother George Quintana Jr. Her uncles are Ron (Kris) Quintana; Rudy (Maria) Vigil; Ernest (Dolly) Vigil; Art (Nancy) Vigil; Benjie (Hipolito) Vigil; her Aunt Angie Vigil, along with her cousins that she grew up as sisters Cindy Ritch and Kathy (Sam) Garcia. Darlene is also survived by other very important people in her life that include Lee Wright, Sontanna Sanchez, Davil Alire, Steve Alire, Matt and Bell DeLora, Barbara and Robert Dimas and Ron Hickerson. Although these are only a few of her extended family, she was loved by people who came to know her for her warmth and caring ways. She will be missed. A Funeral Mass for Darlene will be at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 1120 Canyon Rd. in Santa Fe on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 10:30 am.
