Michael Anthony Valdez

Michael Valdez Jr., age 35 of Ranchitos N.M. passed away on December 1, 2017, with his loving family by his side. He is preceded in death by his grandparents A.B. Valdez, Polly Valdez, Vidal Valdez, his uncle Chris Valdez and aunt Rochelle Valdez all from Espanola. Michael is survived by his wife, Andrea Mascarenas-Valdez, his parents, Michael & Kathy Valdez, sister, Cassandra & brother, Isaiah Valdez all of Ranchitos. Grandmother, Dorothy Valdez, uncles Benjie and Andrew Valdez of Espanola. Father-in-law, David Mascarenas and Robert Sandoval and mother-in-law, Amber Leichtle both from Alcalde. In-law grandparents Art & Cecilia Mascarenas, both of Espanola. Michael had a huge passion for his family's racehorses. He loved to watch them wherever they were competing and would always be a helping hand in whatever was needed. His second passion would be, his love for his semis. The love for driving and operating was just unexplainable. Michael was one of a kind with a huge heart and was always there to lend a helping hand. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on December 14, 2017 at 7:30 pm at San Juan Catholic Church located in the Okay Owingeh Pueblo. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30am on December 15, 2017 at the Christian Life Fellowship located at 121 Siringo Rd. in Santa Fe N.M. Burial to follow in Canones at the Community Cemetery.
