Juan "Canito" Marcos Mendez

Juan was born in Norwalk, Connecticut Aug. 6, 1991; and on September 10, 2021 in Orlando, Florida, Juan Marcos Mendez, father, fiancé, brother, son and friend passed away peacefully surrounded his loving parents and siblings. Juan will be lovingly remembered by his two children Grayson and Liam; fiancé Kathleen Dugan; parents Marcos & Michelle Mendez; siblings Anthony and Sara. Juan’s family and friends will cherish their memories of his comedic humor and loving presence for many years to come. He was best known for bringing joy and happiness to the room. Always putting others in front of himself in order to help. He was a great brother, son and father. Although he was unable to join the military due to his albinism and being legally blind, he loved his country like no other. Always wearing some sort of patriotic shirt and talking about guns and country. He didn’t like handouts and believed in hard work and always doing the right thing. He was a kid at heart, trying whenever to go to Disney with his family and friends. And if not at Disney he was working on building and shooting a new gun. Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 18, 2021 10:00 AM at HIERS-BAXLEY Funeral Services-TimberRidge, 9695 Southwest 110th Street, Ocala, FL 34481, with visitation one hour prior.
