 Gallup, NM  Eduardo "Eddie" J. Gomez.   February 25, 1933 -- February 4, 2018  Eduardo "Eddie" J. Gomez, 84, of Gallup, passed away to his Father's arms on Sunday February 4th, 2018, in Albuquerque surrounded by his loving wife and the people he loved.  He was born February 25, 1933 in Gallup, NM to Joe Gomez and Beatrice Espinoza.  Eddie is survived by his wife and best friend, Betty Jean Gomez. They were married for 66 years. He is also survived by his daughters Marilyn R. Gomez and Evelyn (Joe) Rangel, son Johnny (Gina) Gomez; 7 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grand Children; Siblings Sylvia Laycock, Pauline (Freddie) Lucero, Nona (Lawrence) Baca, Lilly Valdez, Joe (Darlene) Espinoza, Bernice (Paul) Chavez, and Flora Gomez.  Eddie was proceeded in death by his parents and numerous siblings.  Eddie the patriarch of the family epitomized life lived for his family. He was an example of work ethic and pride; committed to his marriage and being a father. Eddie loved his grandchildren and Betty was the absolute pride of his life.  Eddie graduated from Gallup High School, married the love of his life in 1952 and joined the United States Navy, serving in the Korean War as a Gunner.  He worked for PNM for a number of years until venturing into the world of business where he and his wife took a risk becoming very successful entrepreneur's. He and betty owned and operated the Indian Den for over 50 years.  Eddie enjoyed traveling with his family, eating and visiting. He never met a stranger and he always had a story to share. Â
