Marissa Jade Martinez

Marissa Martinez, age 33. Our most Beloved Marissa has left this world to be in a better place. She passed away on Tuesday, February 6th, 2018 of a long and lengthy illness. She is survived by the most important person in her life; her son, Jovan.She is proceeded in death by her dad Jose, and is survived by her mom Gilia Martinez. She is also survived by her parents, Beverly and Adelaido Ortega of Las Vegas, Nevada. Immediate  brothers and sisters and uncles and aunts include: Jolynn and James Montoya of Velarde, Elisha Martinez and Jermaine Haynes of Albuquerque. Gary Martinez, Cindy and Lee Baca, and Lisa Martinez, all of Ojo Caliente. Debra and Clarence Lujan of Pecos, Antonio and Jessie Ortega of Nevada, Eusequio and Dorlinda Valdez of Espanola. Extended family includes the Martinez, Galvez, and Ortega's: All of whom will greatly miss Marissa. Those who shared in her life will continue to forever love her. She will be remembered for having the biggest heart anyone ever could.  Our loss is Great but God is Greater!  A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 beginning at 6:00 pm with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary to follow at 6:30 pm at the Riverside Funeral Home of Santa Fe Chapel. The Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ojo Caliente, NM with interment to follow at the Ojo Caliente Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Clarence Lujan, Lee Baca, Jimmy Martinez, Jermaine Haynes, James Montoya, and Jonathan Lujan.
