Alice Pearce
July 16th, 1922 - November 26th, 2014
Biography Alice Ruth Pearce, age 92, passed away on November 26, 2014 after a brief illness. Alice was born July 16, 1922 in Kenosha, WI. She was the second child of Wilfred John and Clarice Ruth (Foulke) Pearce. She graduated from Zion Benton High School in 1940, and went on to get degrees in both Home Economics and Nursing. She received her nursing degree from the University of Minnesota, and went on to work as an RN at the VA hospital in North Chicago. After many years at the VA hospital, she then went to work at St Therese hospital in Waukegan IL. After her retirement from nursing, Alice lived in Gurnee IL for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, golfing, and other activities with friends and family. Alice loved dogs, especially Cocker Spaniels. She lovingly spoiled her dogs, and enjoyed their company very much. In 2002, she moved to Peoria IL, then to Ocoee FL, and finally settled in Longmont CO, where a nephew lives. Alice enjoyed the many activities available at the senior condo complex where she lived in Longmont for 8 years. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred and Clarice, sisters Charlotte and Louise, and brother Donald. Alice is survived by a brother-in-law, Dean Schultz in Kenosha WI. Also many Nieces, nephews and other relatives in many parts of the United States. She will be missed by all. A memorial service for Alice will be scheduled at a future date.
