Dylan Woodard Brown

Dylan Woodard Brown, age 18, of Ocala and Ponte Vedra Beach passed away unexpectantly on March 21, 2018. Dylan was born in Portsmouth, Va. on October 11, 1999. Dylan is survived by his mother Melanie Harris and Stepfather Ryan Harris of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and father John Brown and stepmother Katie Walters of Ocala, Florida. He leaves behind five loving brothers Andrew Brown, Kaden Brown, Jake Brown, Logan Brown and Grady Harris. Dylan started high school at Ponte Vedra High and was set to graduate this May from Westport High School in Ocala. He was on the Dean's list and was dual enrolled in college classes with a dream of becoming a Math teacher. He loved his large family, playing the guitar, music, books, school, dogs, difficult math equations, video games, junk food, laughter and wearing bowties every day. Dylan was a loyal friend with a kind heart. Dylan is also survived by his maternal grandparents Janet and Monte Woodard, his paternal grandparents Jody Kretschmar and James Randall Brown, his step grandparents Patricia and Randall Harris and Great Grandparents Lydia and Ivan Lorimor. Also included are his Uncle Troy Woodard, Uncle Brian Woodard, Uncle Lance Gummere, Aunt Gracie Gummere, Uncle Christopher Gummere, Aunt Michelle Gummere, Aunt Pamela Brown and Step Aunt Angie. He loved his many cousins: Edie, Haley, Jillian, Ryland, Miles, Davin, Jacey, Calan, Miranda, McKenna and so many other close relatives and friends. He will be joining in Peace his Great Grandparents: Ken and Janet Manning, Everett Woodard, Jim Randall Brown and Hortense Brown, Leatrice and Gilbert Delaware. There will be two services near both of Dylan's homes. Please honor Dylan by wearing a bowtie or converse shoes if you have them. He would not want us in black as he loved mismatching with his plaid shirts and bowties.
