Warner Robins, GA: Barbara Ann Davidson Rowland, 68, the Angels in heaven shouted with joy on Monday, August 8th, 2011 when Barbara joined their choir. Barbara was an amazing woman. The youngest child born to Mr. Walker and Mrs. Carrie Hicks Davidson in Eastman, Georgia on October 12th, 1942. She graduated from Berry College with a degree in education and went on to teach in Dodge, Laurens and Appling County schools where she was STAR Teacher and Teacher of the Year in 1986. She touched the lives of many children during her career. In 1996 Barbara wrote and recorded a CD entitled “”The Rainbow.”” She was a member of Cottondale Baptist Church in Eastman, GA. Barbara will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 39 years, Billy Rowland, her children Rhoda Ann Rowland and Kyle Rowland of Warner Robins, Sharon Puckett LeRoy of Dublin, her three precious Grandchildren Billie Ann Godfrey, Harlee Ann Dutcher of Warner Robins and Ashton Rowland of Baxley, Sisters Betty Caldwell of Warner Robins, Shelby Loyd of Byron and J.W. Davidson of Americus and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 10th, 2011 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Final services will be Thursday, August 11th, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with interment in Parkway Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to “”Promise of Hope”” P.O. Box 321 Dudley, GA 31022. The Family may be contacted at 96 Whippoorwill Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088. Barbara’s final request so appropriately written by her, “”Don’t Weep For Me.”” Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
