Augustina “Tina” Griego

Augustina "Tina" Griego 58 originally of Vallecitos, NM resident of La Madera, NM passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Wednesday, June 13, 2018.  Tina was preceded in death by her Father Juan G. Gallegos, Mother Perfilia D. Gallegos, Sister Brenda "Vecerita" Gallegos and Nephew Brendon J. Herrera. Tina enjoyed many things in her lifetime, from spending time with those she loved, crocheting, piñón picking, going to the casinos, camping, attending her grandkids sports, attending Honor/ Color Guards with her Loving husband. Tina loved to tell stories, play jokes, singing Los Días, & La Entriega. Tina also made some fabulous tortillas that everyone would call and ask her to make them some. She was a truly outstanding woman.  Tina is survived by her loving husband Henry "Ríco" Griego, Daughter Amanda Griego (Chris), Grandson Devin T. Griego and Granddaughter Gabriella R. Griego all of La Madera, NM. Siblings: Amelia Girón (Isaac) of La Madera,NM; Marcella Martinez (Orlando) of Vallecitos, NM; Andres Gallegos of Española, NM;  Balvina Martinez of Santa Fe, NM ; Delfinia Gallegos of Hernandez; Valentin Gallegos (Joella) of Ranchos De Taos, NM; Berlinda Gallegos ( Moisés) of Albuquerque, NM; Jose Gallegos(Denise) of Vallecitos, NM; Juan Gallegos (Rosie) of El Rito, NM. Tina had many friends, although she had her best Friends: Audra Chacón of Ojo Caliente, NM; Edna Vasquez of El Rito,NM; Magdalena "Mané" Chavez of Española, NM; Helen Lovato of Ojo Caliente, NM; Eppie Ruiz of Rio Rancho, NM; Pat Griego of Chili, NM; and Orpha "Orphie" Chavez of La Madera.  Her GodChildren; Gabino Martinez of Farmington, Anthony Romero of Española, Katrina Maldonado of Albuquerque, Carissa "Cari" Herrera of La Madera, and Stephanie Gallegos of El Rito. Tina had many nieces and nephews that she loved beyond any words could ever be expressed. She loved all her great nieces and nephews as if they we her own grandchildren. Although she will be greatly missed, she will never be forgotten. Services for Tina are as follows: Rosary @7 PM on Sunday, June 17 at El Llanito in La Madera, Mass @ 11 AM on Monday, June 18 at El Llanito in La Madera, with burial to follow at the Vallecitos Catholic  Cemetery in Vallecitos. The family of Tina Griego have entrusted the care of their loved one to the Riverside Funeral home of Santa Fe, NM.Â
