Riverside Funeral Home - Albuquerque
Darlene Mary Wilson
September 5th, 1958 - August 7th, 2018
Born September 5, 1958 in Phoenix, AZ. She lived in San Jose, CA for many years with her late husband Tim Wilson. They moved to Bibo, NM in 2010 to her family Spanish land grant home to help care for her ailing mother. She is survived by her Mother Frances Mary Romero, and pre-deceased by her Father Orlando C Romero and Brother Jerry R. Romero. Darlene is survived by her Sisters; Darcy Royal (Rob), Nephew Bryan and niece Alicia Bradbury (Josh), and great nieces Brielle and Amelia; and eldest sister Laverne Henson (Kenneth), and sons Jason Henson (Erin), and Brett Henson and his son great nephew Kingston.    Darlene was a feisty renegade and rolled to a different beautiful drum. Darlene was a fabulous cook and private caterer in San Jose. Darlene was a friend to so many with her kind heart and generous spirit. She was wonderful when it came to family & kids. She never had kids of her own but Darlene was a caring and thoughtful Aunt. Darlene had a heart of gold and persevered through life's hardships, but she fought through them with a smile and amazingly fierce and creative determination. Darlene was so very generous with so little, always looking out for others with her kind spirit. She was a cancer survivor. She helped maintain her parents and uncles land grant properties in Bibo, NM since 2010.    Our family was so proud of her courage to happily live by herself in tiny rural Bibo, NM (of course we never knew what she was up to either) & everyone who knew Darlene loved her fun engaging way of life. Our "free spirit" Darlene is now with our Brother Jerry and dad singing with the Angels. Please pray with our family that she Rest In Peace. God Bless you Darlene, you suffered so much and now you are in the house of the Lord. Until we meet you again dear Sister, Aunt, great Auntie. We love you....    Arrangements entrusted to:  Riverside Funeral Home of Albuquerque  225 San Mateo Blvd. NE  (
