Peter Ulibarri

Peter Ulibarri, age 69, of El Barranco, NM, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Vida Encantada in Las Vegas, NM peacefully with his loving family at his side. Peter was born to Eligio and Carmen Ulibarri of El Barranco, NM. Peter was a Forest Firefighter, mine worker and served several years doing what he enjoyed. He fought fires all over the United States. Peter enjoyed smoking cigarettes and drinking in his younger days. He enjoyed the sunshine and being outdoors, taking walks and sitting outside. Peter is survived by his brother, Telesfor Ulibarri, sister, Pita Manzanares, sister, Grace and husband, Gilbert Verastegul, sister Isidra Fields, sister Eppie and husband, Raymond Villanueva, sister, Grabble and husband, Carl Stubblefield, sister Tina and husband, George Wade and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Peter is preceded in death by his nephew, Ignacio Eligio Villanueva, mother, Carmen Ulibarri, father, Eligio Ulibarri and brother, Manuel Ulibarri. Peter will be remembered for his laughter and joking around. His loving and caring heart he had. The time he dedicated to fighting forest fires around the United States. Honorary Pallbearers are: All of his loving Nephews, Nieces, Great-Nephews and Great-Nieces. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will take place Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 9:00 AM with the Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Villanueva, NM 87583. Burial will follow at the Villanueva's Ranch cemetery. Reception to follow the burial at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Hall (next to the Post Office and Store) Â Arrangements entrusted to the caring staff of: Riverside Funeral Home of Santa Fe 3232 Cerrillos Road (505) 395-9150
