Warner Robins, GA; Aiko Watanabe Bessinger, 78, passed away on Friday, January 6th, 2012 after a courageous fight to stay with her loved ones. Family will greet friends for a Memorial service on Tuesday, January 10th, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Services will start at 12:30 PM in Heritage Memorial Chapel and will be performed by Pastor Phillip Burden of Pell City, Alabama. Internment will be private. Aiko was born in Sakata, Japan on July 15th, 1933 and was married to Marvin Bessinger for 54 years. She was extremely proud to be a naturalized United States citizen, homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all who knew her. Her greatest love was family and she felt blessed to return to her homeland twice in recent years. Other than her Husband, Marvin, Aiko is survived by her Sons, Alvin Bessinger of Keller, Texas; David Debbie Bessinger of Benbrook, Texas; Daughter, Paula John Dickinson of Warner Robins; Grand-daughters Melissa, Chelsea, Drew and Dara and one Great Grand-daughter Scarlett. In addition to her immediate family, she is survived by five brothers Kunio, Tadashi, Akio, Masaji, and Nuburo all of Japan and numerous nephews and nieces.
