Ramon Donato Tapia, age 80, a resident of Coruco, New Mexico, passed away on September 16, 2018. He was born on October 4, 1937, in Terrero, New Mexico. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Dolores Tapia, and daughters Catherine Tafoya and husband Roger of Las Vegas; Frances Borunda and husband Levi of Albuquerque; Veronica Martinez and husband Robert of Coruco; and Martha Tapia of Albuquerque; Grandchildren Margarito Ulibarri, Jr. and wife Ashley; Thomas Ulibarri, Ryan Tafoya, Mariana Florinda Borunda, Levi Andres Borunda, Jacob Borunda, Jay Robert Martinez and wife Amy, Alyssa Jade Martinez, Briana Martinez, Robert Ryan Martinez, Jeremy Martinez; Great-Grandchildren Thomas Ramon Ulibarri, Dominic Andrew Ulibarri, Mariah Lynn Ulibarri, Arriela Dolores Rael, Kylie Leendra Martinez, and Jayce Brantley Martinez; brothers: Rosendo Tapia and wife Mary, Leonard Tapia and wife Odilia, Daniel Tapia and wife Patsy; sisters: Isabel Lovato, Estella Lovato, Edubiges Tapia; and Julia Ortiz and husband Benny; brothers-in-law: Margarito Baca, Gabino Baca and wife Pauline; sisters-in-law: Fidelia Sandoval, Isabel Baca, and Erlinda Tapia; and several nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Annette Tapia, his parents Rosendo and Julia Tapia, and brother Samuel Tapia, brothers-in-law: Cleofes Baca, Tony Baca, Delfinio Sandoval, Ceferino Flores, Emilio Lovato, and Ignacio Lovato; sisters-in-law: Luciana Flores, Esther Baca, and Lala Baca. Memorial services will be held at The Church on the Hill in Coruco, New Mexico, on Friday, September 21, 2018, at 10:00 AM, officiated by Pastor Steve Ulibarri. Special appreciation extended to Vida Encantada Nursing and Rehabilitation employees for extending the Tapia family continued dedication, love and support.
