Fort Valley-James H. Edwards, 77 , passed away Wednesday May 16, 2012 after an extended illness. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday May 23, 2012 at 3:00PM in Harmony Community Church. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Joe Phillips will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday May 22, 2012 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Heart of Georgia Hospice 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins GA 31088. Mr Edwards was born on April 21, 1935 in Eastman Georgia to the late William and Jesse Edwards. Mr Edwards was a member of First Baptist Church of Centerville. He was the owner operator of Centerville Upholstery for over forty years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman but most of all loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of over fifty five years Dorothy Edwards. Survivors: Son James Allen Edwards of Fort Valley, Daughter Darlene Sheppard Tony of Kathleen, Daughter Donna McCollum of Fort Valley, Daughter Vanessa Field Bill of Byron, Son Brian Edwards Melissa of Fort Valley, Daughter Kimberly Mazo Scott of Kathleen, Son David Edwards Jamie of Nashville GA, Three Sisters, Patricia Sowash Hank of Macon, Faye Allred of Byron and Brenda Jones Kenneth of Warner Robins. Nineteen Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
