Johnny Brown a resident of Albuquerque, NM was born 1/19/1954, passed away surrounded by his family on 1/21/2019. He had battled an illness and is at rest. Preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Mary D. Brown and brothers Pete Brown & Wilfred Candelaria, & sister Louise Brown Chavez. Johnny was Honorably Discharged from the AIR NATIONAL GUARD of New Mexico 1975 to join the United States Navy in 1975-1979. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 32 years and retired in 2012. He also worked 8 years with Albuquerque Public Schools. He loved his family and often went camping, hunting and fishing with his wife; children, grandchildren, and especially his great grandchildren. He was a dedicated Dallas Cowboy fan all his life. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Geneva Brown. Children: Joshua Brown & wife (Cesarita) Curtis Brown & fiancé (Rhonda) His precious grandchildren: Joshlyn, Julian, Janelle, Lariza, & Estevan. Three beautiful great grandchildren: Natalia & Esmeralda Brown-Gomez & Aaliyah Renteria. His brother Roy Brown & wife (Rita) sisters: Peggy Candelaria & Cathy Ortiz. And numerous Nieces & Nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family who loved him dearly! Services will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 820 Broadway Blvd., Albuquerque NM 87102 February 2nd 2019 @ 10:30am Recited by Andrew Chavez, Interment will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery located at 501 North Guadalupe Street in Santa Fe, NM on Monday February 4th 2019 11:00AM. Honorary Pallbearers: Susanna Brown-Serna, Cindy Gutierrez, Monica Ortiz, Melissa Candelaria, Jennifer Mayer, Roy Brown, Phil Otero, Tommy Garcia Jr., Kenny Jaramillo Sr., Virgil Jaramillo. Pallbearers: Joshlyn Brown, Julian Brown, David Brown, Bobby Candelaria, Alex Jaramillo Jr., Anthony Jaramillo, Christopher Garcia, Larry Whiting.
