Warner Robins, GA: Mary M. Jackson, 61, passed away Sunday May 21, 2006 in a local hospital. Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Garmon Street with burial in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Jackson was born in Fulton County, GA. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Garmon Street in Warner Robins. Mrs. Jackson retired from the Houston County Board of Education with 33 years of teaching. In 1996, she was awarded the Teacher of the Year at Northside Middle School. She taught at several elementary and middle schools in the county. She was a member of the Georgia Teachers Association and the National Retired Teachers Association. Mrs. Jackson was the owner of the Jackson Consulting Services in Warner Robins. Survivors include her husband Rufus Jackson of Warner Robins, daughter Asha Jackson Williams of VA Beach, VA, son Bryce Jackson of Atlanta, one granddaughter Jordan Alexis Williams of VA Beach, VA and several aunts and uncles. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 4406, Macon, GA, 31208 in memory of Mrs. Jackson. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
