Floyd (Floriano) Eudoro Trujillo Lifelong Hermano de Morada del Alto and resident of Barranco and Abiquiu, Floyd (Floriano) Eudoro Trujillo, Father, Grandfather, brother, amigo, vecino, padrino and tio, of the Pueblo of Santo Tomas Apostol de Abiquiu passed to new life to be with his creator, February 8th 2019. He was 85 years old. He was born in Vallecito de San Antonio, Abiquiu, New Mexico on March 13, 1934. Floyd was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia Salazar de Trujillo in 2008. He was also preceded in death by his grandsons, Samuel and Angel Luchetti, parents Jose C. and Belen Trujillo, in-laws Benjamin and Susana Archuleta, Jacobo and Severiana Salazar, sisters Eulalia Garcia, Rosie McCall and Cordelia Trujillo, brothers-in-law Jake Garcia, Eliseo Valdez, Jim Evens, Rudy Herrera, Octaviano Martinez and Sister-in-law Aggie Garcia. Floyd is survived by his children Virgil (Isabel), Dexter, Margo (Kathy), Myra (Larry), Jacob (Selina) and Adrian (Jenna), grandchildren Ventura (Gabrielle), Delilah (Mario), Chavela (Jesus), Giovanni, Brandy, Isaias, Kateri, Genoveva, Esperanza, Neveah, Marcos, Justina, Monique, Adrian Jr. and Aubrey, great-grandsons Isaias and Jayden, brother Jimmy Trujillo and wife, Debbie, sisters Josie Valdez, Francis Martinez, Louisa Evens, brother-in-law, Pete Garcia, and Special Friend, Shirley Lopez. He was a Padrino to many. He was an Hermano de la Santa Cofradilla de Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno en La Morada de Nuestra Senora de los Santos Dolores del Alto. Floyd was a master of many talents and trades, such as master harmonica musician, bone carver, pueblo drum player and singer, artist, vaquero, gardener, photographer, hunter, fisherman, explorer, builder and collector of many things. In the early days he was a basketball and baseball player, as well as a cook, chauffeur and friend of the late Georgia O'Keeffe. He was also a boy scout master to the youth of the area. For the entirety of his life, he loved his childhood home of Vallecito where he was nurtured by his grandmother Santanita. He made his ranchito here and spent as much time there as he could. His interest and impact in the community are impossible to fully express. Floyd worked at Ghost Ranch as the Assistant Ranch Land Superintendent in the Ranch Lands Dept. for 33 years. Floyd proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and in the Army National Guard for many years. Floyd and Virginia will always be remembered for their love of dancing by many, many friends. Floyd's family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the many, family and friends who supported them during Floyd's time of need, most especially to Kathy, Myra, his nurse Sharon, the Ambercare Team and Jacob and Selina and a special thank you to Diego and Kika Ortiz. A night-long velorio was held Friday for Floyd, the Hermano, by his Hermanos en la Morada del Alto. A rosary will be prayed on Monday the 11th at 7 pm at Santo Tomas Apostol en Abiquiu. Funeral mass will be on Tuesday the 12th at 10 am also at Santo Tomas Apostol followed by the burial at the Morada del Alto.
