Mary Louise Shiflett

Shiflett, Mary Louise, age 91, passed on March 13, 2019 at Christus St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe. She was born on August 11, 1927 in Mora. Mrs. Shiflett was a member of St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Mora. Mary Louise worked in her flower shop in Santa Fe for many years. She also lived in Cheyenne and Denver for a short time. When she got older, she moved back to Las Vegas, New Mexico. Virginia and Leroy Trujillo were her caregivers for nine years. She lived in Pacifica Senior Living for two more years of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, Cleotilde and Abelino Trujillo from Las Aguitas, her sister Rosa Chavez from Cheyenne Wyoming, Mary Alice Marrujo from Ledoux, her brother Jose Macario Trujillo from Denver, Colorado. She is survived by her sister Ruth Trujillo from Chacon and her brother Leroy Trujillo and Virginia from Las Vegas, New Mexico. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mary Louise was a very independent women who always made her own decisions. She was also a kind and loving person, who will be deeply missed. Services will be held on Friday, March 22, 2019 at St. Gertrude the Great Catholic Church with the Rosary at 9:00 am and the Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am.
