Raymond Christopher Martinez was born on July 31, 1982, in Ogden Utah, he was 36, a resident of Espanola, NM, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 27, 2019. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond F. Martinez and grandma Bernie Valdez. Raymond is survived by his mother Christi A Olguin, Espanola, NM; sister April Martinez-Reynolds (Matthew) Denver CO, daughter Destiny Garcia, Denver, CO, girlfriend DeAnn Upshaw, Bernalillo, NM, Grandma Dulcinea Olguin, Las Mesilla, NM, Grandpa Jose Salvador Olguin, El Guique, NM, Aunt Debra Martinez (Gary), Espanola, NM, Uncle Gilbert Olguin (Karri) Los Alamos, NM, Aunt Rita Lynn Chavez (Edward) San Juan Pueblo, NM, Aunt Millie Jaramillo (Richard) Albuquerque, NM, Uncle Manuel Trujillo (Dorothy) Layton, UT, best cousins Edward Chavez III, Las Cruces, NM, Javier Chavez, Felicia and Alicia Chavez, San Juan Pueblo, NM, Valerie Grondin, Los Alamos, NM and many relatives and friends. Ray was a loving and caring man who always loved his family first. Raymond was a big fan of Seattle Seahawks, his passion was fishing and he loved his sports. Ray was loved by anybody he came in contact with. There was never a dull moment that you did not see a big smile on his beautiful face. He loved hanging around with his best close cousins Javy and Edward in playing basketball and video games. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 908 Calle Rosario, Española, NM with the Funeral Mass to follow at 11:30 AM. Interment will take place immediatley following the Mass at the San Joaquin Cemetery in Ensenada, NM.
