Pete Montoya, 93 of Albuquerque, NM passed away peacefully watching his favorite Westerns Sunday March 31, 2019. Pete was born on January 18, 1926 in Lamy, NM. Son of Manuel Montoya and Natividad Mares. He married Patricia May Berg on April 28, 1950 in Las Vegas, NM. Pete was preceded in death by his wife Patricia May, his daughter Kathy, and son Peter. He is survived by his son Fred and wife Cindy, daughters Anita and Clara. Grandchildren Raymond and partner Tonya, Linnea and husband Luke, Dominick, and Joseph. Great granddaughter Liliana. Pete spent his young adult life in Las Vegas, NM attending school, playing sports, and working at Gamble's. He moved his family to Albuquerque in 1962 taking a job at the original St. Pius X High School where he worked till retiring in 1993. Pete enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting pool and maintaining his yard. Services will be held at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo Blvd. NE on Tuesday @ 9:00 am.
