Warner Robins, GA: James William Wall, Jr., 54, passed away Friday, June 4, 2004 after a brief illness. Services will be held Monday, June 7, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Warner Robins. Visitation will be from 7 until 9 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home. ?Jimbo?was born July 24, 1949 at Wheelus Field, Tripoli, Libya, North Africa to the late Colonel James William and Adelaide Lindell Wall. As a military dependent, he traveled throughout the United States and Europe before settling in Georgia. He graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1967 where he lettered in football, basketball and baseball. He attended Georgia Southwestern College receiving a Bachelor of Science in education in 1976. He was a charter member of the GNAD Fraternity. Jimbo was a beloved father, brother, uncle, son and friend. He was an avid fisherman, sports fan and collector. He played and coached men?s softball for many years. He loved being outdoors, either grilling, gardening, golfing, washing his trucks, or enjoying the company of friends. He had a world class sense of humor that will always be remembered by family and friends. Jimbo received his salvation and was baptized at First Baptist Church in Cordele. Survivors are his children, James William Wall, III Trey and Laura Ruth Wall Taunton, grandson Layne William Taunton, son-in-law Wesley Taunton, sister, Tina Spriggs and brothers, Gene Stoneburner, Bob Wall and Richard Wall. Also surviving are his nieces Leslie Stoneburner, Gena Kemp, Amanda Stoneburner and Samantha Wall and nephews, Derek Spriggs and Tyler Wall, sister-in-laws, Lillie Wall and Roberta Wall. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
