Joseph Daniel Santiago
December 9th, 1989 - April 20th, 2019
Daniel ascended into heaven on April 20,2019 at age 29. He is leaving behind his parents Martha and Gilbert Chavez and John and Shirl Santiago . Daniel is leaving his legacy with his siblings Steven, Brandon, Jeffrey, Cierra and Savannah to carry on. Daniel has such a large beautiful family full of 1 nephew, 3 nieces, 156 cousins, 18 aunts and uncles and his Grandmother, whom he cared so deeply for. He was very proud of his family and only wanted the best for each of them. Commonly referred to by his family as Dan Dan, he was loved by so many and he loved with his whole heart. Those who knew him could not resist his dimples and smile, it was infectious! Dan Dan loved and protected his family first and foremost and was a caring man who would do anything for anyone, no questions asked. One of his favorite times of year was during Christmas , with the help of his mother and aunties, he would feed all that were around that needed a meal, a warm blanket or clothes. He loved to fish, hunt and especially go to the lake with family and friends. Being in the mountains and outdoors made him happy and he wanted to pass that happiness along to his new family. He was so excited to introduce the out doors to Joslyn, Gabriel, Alexis and Angel with his girlfriend Ruby. He wanted everyone to share the same experiences he had while growing up. There are no words to express the sorrow and pain the family has to endure during this tragic event but our gratitude, thankfulness and love go out to every person that has supported the family and helped to give Daniel a peaceful rest, thank you from us all and God bless. We will see you in Heaven Danny Boy. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 7:00 PM with the Funeral Mass to take place on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 10:00 AM all at San Jose Catholic Church, 2401 Broadway Blvd. SE., Albuquerque, NM.
