Jules Frederick Appelman

Jules Frederick Appelman- April 4, 1930- June 8, 2019. Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jules passed peacefully and with grace at his home with his family beside him. After battling off cancer for over a decade. Jules is survived by his children, Scott Appelman wife Heather Appelman, Guy Appelman and wife Michelle Appelman, Grandkids- Ryan, Nicole, Halle Appelman, Journee and Phoebe Pittman. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY where he graduated from New York University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. After his graduation he proudly served our nation as a project engineer in the United States Air Force and served during the Korean conflict. His sister Marilyn is deceased. He was married to Ruby V. Appelman where they had 2 boys, Scott and Guy Appelman, where they resided in Los Angeles, California until 1970. Jules worked in the Aerospace industry in the 1960's developing satellite programs for defense and communications industries. Jules and his family moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1970 where he started and ran Academy Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning and Electrical Inc., Contractors Inc. and several other companies supporting the construction industries in New Mexico, which still serve the community today. Jules was a Registered Professional Electrical Engineer, designing and engineering residential, commercial buildings and special projects. The man that always found the answer. Jules loved to fish and tinker with anything mechanical and electrical throughout his whole life, whether he was designing and building facilities for national defense or building remote control boats. He had a special place in Chama, NM where he enjoyed the beauty, outdoors, family and friends all of course while fishing. Jules always was a man of caring for his fellow veterans and people of his community. He supported many causes with a special love for veterans, animals and medical research. Everyone whom met and knew him always would say, "that is one of the smartest men I have ever met" and "I loved talking to him, I always learned something from him". Well we all did. Julesy Baby, JB, Dad, grandfather, boss and friend you will be greatly missed by all. It was a great 89 years, he accomplished so much, taught so many people, provided for all that he could. He was a pillar of the most important things he embraced, Honesty, Trust and Loyalty. He will be greatly missed, never forgotten, it is our duty to carry on what he taught so many of us all. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Appelman Charitable Foundation which will support Veterans, animals and medical research.
