Edward "Eddy" Alan Karakla
June 20th, 1964 - June 12th, 2019
Edward "Eddy" Alan Karakla entered into this world June 20, 1964 and exited with Our Lord on June 12, 2019. On Wednesday June 12, 2019 Eddy Karakla loving Husband and Father of his two sons, went to be with Our Heavenly Father at age 54. Eddy, was born on June 20,1964 Homestead AFB, Florida to TSGT Richard and Rosemarie Karakla. Eddy served his country in the United States Air Force from 1982 to December 1992. He was an Associate with Wal-Mart Stores for 26 years until his retirement in May 2019. On June 6,1992 Eddy married the love of his life, Carolina Ficarro in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They raised two awesome sons, Richard and Jacob. Eddy loved spending his time in front of a screen, playing online computer games, watching movies, TV shows and on his phone. Eddy also enjoyed music, art and collecting comic books, Hot Wheels and memorabilia from both. Eddy was a strong Christian man who prayed daily and always put God first in all he did. His Family will always love him. For Carol, his second love, wife, best friend and lover he will always be her rock and first love. To his sons, Richard and Jacob, he will always be remembered for being a friend, good provider and mentor. To Eddy's "Brothers in Arms", He will never forget you, who fought by his side in times of war and in peace he will always love you and please know he will watch over you forever until you all meet again. For those who worked with Eddy at Wal-Mart, he always came home laughing about all the time's he spent joking and all the funny customers he encountered. Eddy was preceded in death by his Father in law, Richard Ficarro 2004, Father, Richard Karakla 2012, Mother Rosemarie Karakla 2015 and his Uncle George Renaudette 2019. Eddy's memory will be continued by Wife Carol, his Sons, Richard A and Jacob E, all of Albuquerque, NM. His favorite mother in law Annie Ficarro of Roy, NM, his brother in law Mark and sister in law Sharon Ficarro, of Albuquerque, NM. His Brother, Robert and wife Dee Karakla of Tucson, Arizona, their sons Chris Karakla, Erik and wife Jen Karakla and many; Nieces Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Family members, friends, coworkers and Brothers of the 1608th SPS (Eddy loved you all and will be watching your 6 from above). A Viewing will be held June 20, 2019 from 6pm and 8pm at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo Blvd NE Albuquerque, NM 87108. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday June 21, 2019 at 10:00 am at Calvary Chapel East with Pastor Gary Cowen, 12820 Indian School Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112 There will be a reception following the service, I will have the address at the Viewing and Services.
