Warner Robins, GA: Katherine Jane Peacock Thomas, 67, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2005 in Macon. Services will be at 11:00 AM Friday in the First United Methodist Church of Warner Robins with burial at 2:00 PM Friday in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Eastman, GA. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Thursday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Thomas was born in Eastman, GA to Roy and Ruth Peacock. She graduated from Dodge County High School and Georgia Southern College in Statesboro, with a B. S. degree in Elementary Education. She taught in Bibb County, Dodge County, Vidalia City and Houston County for a total of 30 years. She was a member of the Georgia Association of Educators and the National Education Association. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Warner Robins. While in the church, she taught Sunday School, was the president of the Friendship Sunday School Class for a number of years, she was a circle leader, a member of Circle 2 and the Keenagers. She was a charter member and former president of the Kiwanis of Warner Robins, a member of NARFE, a member of the Daughters of the Nile and the Pageantry Unit, where she was a director for a number of years and a member of the Forget Me NotsShriners? widows. She is preceded in death by her father, Roy Peacock, her husband, Chalmers ?Red? Thomas and her good friend, George W. Gardner, Jr. She is survived by her mother Ruth A. Peacock of Eastman, GA, her step-daughter Sue SappAllen of Bonaire, her step-sons David Loraine ThomasJeanette of Cochran, Larry ThomasGwen, Chalmers ?Bo? Thomas, Jr., George ThomasSwantje, Norman ThomasRosemary and Kenneth ThomasBetty, several step-grandchildren which include Tracy and Thomas Gilleland of Bonaire and John and Robert Lisa Thomas of Cochran.
