Barbara Garcia

Barbara Maria Garcia, age 85, born in Abo, New Mexico in 1934 and a long time Albuquerque resident passed away on Friday, October 4, 2019 surrounded by her loved ones. Her husband of 37 Years, Edward Jr. Garcia went before her in 2014. Barbara was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her children: Daughter, Mary Ann Hillery and her children, Julie Hillery Chambers and Gunny and Cadence, Heather Pauline Hanlon and Husband James Hanlon, Robert Joseph Alan Hillery and wife Kelly Hillery Vivian Hillery great grandchildren Jayson, Kelly, Stephanie, Samantha Hanlon and Vivian Hillery. Son, Michael Andrew Alderete and Rebecca Mares, and his daughters Shianne Marie Rathert and husband Richard; Jaclyn Jennifer Alderete and husband Nicholas Cary. Daughter, Dorothy, her husband Jennings Denson, their children Michael and wife Rebecca Denson; Travis Denson and wife Melissa Denson and great granddaughters Catherine, Scarlett, and Savannah Denson. Daughter, Eileen Alderete and her son Nicholas Taber. Son, Robert Mark Alderete and JoAnn Borunda, and their babies Daizy and Bella. Two sisters, Corina Fouche, Rose Rivera, and brother Jose Moya. A memorial service will be recited on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 1:30 pm at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.
