Lairie James Scrivner

Lairie James Scrivner died Friday, December 20, 2019, after a brief illness. He was born January 15, 1942 to Howard and Faye Scrivner of Fort Collins, Colorado where he spent most of his life. He married Sally J. McQuaid on August 6, 1961; they were married for 58 years. In early 2010, Lairie and Sally moved to Socorro, New Mexico (The Land of Enchantment) Lairie was employed by Woodward Governor Company in Fort Collins for 29 years. He loved walking, spending time with family and friends, had a passion for good food, telling very colorful stories (and often), and especially making those around him smile. He is survived by his wife Sally, his two sons Stephen and Brian, and his four siblings; Charles Scrivner, Mary Ann Otte (Scrivner), Cindi Souther (Scrivner), and Robert Scrivner. Should anyone desire to make a memorial contribution – Lairie and Sally have actively supported the following local Socorro County charity: Puerto Seguro Safe Harbor - providing much needed food, clothing and other valuable assistance to the underprivileged in Socorro.
