Biography Our Loving mother, Minerva Johanna (Fries) Pedersen was born March 17, 1920 to George and Bessie (Maybohm) Fries in Bronson, Iowa. She passed peacefully away with her family by her side on Wed., February 19, 2014. Minerva married Jacob Pedersen, Sr., on Dec. 29, 1938 in Bronson, Iowa. Together they had seven children: Ronald (Cherie) Pedersen, Sr., Sandra (Ray) Dixon, Jacob Pedersen, Jr., Georgia Ann (Richard) Nass, Randy (Shirley) Pedersen, Lori (Jeff) Miller, and Lyn (Jack) Luensmann. Minerva and Jacob farmed in Bronson until March 21, 1965 when they moved to Boulder. She lived in Boulder until 1987, living in Lafayette and Louisville before settling in Longmont. Minerva loved bowling, playing Bingo, selling homemade candies at craft shows, sewing, gardening and family camping and fishing trips. She is survived by her seven children, eighteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers; Loren and George Fries, sister, Irene Rasmussen and two grandchildren, David and Matthew Pedersen. A Memorial Service will be 10:00am on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Carroll-Lewellen Funeral Home. Minerva will be laid to rest in Sioux City, Iowa.
