Francis Gerson Maestas

Frank passed away on March 25th, 2020. He is preceded in death by his mother Lita Gallegos, brothers Bobby Ortiz, Lee Guiterez and youngest son Daniel Maestas. He is survived in death by wife Lorri, father Sotero Frequez, brother Ruban and wife Cathy, sister Isabel and husband Freddy, and sons Frankie, Essie, and Gerald. When Frank was 18, he joined the US Marine Corps and served 2 tours in Vietnam. After returning he worked mostly in the construction field often with his brother in law Freddy that he called his Coonie Bird. Frank enjoyed getting up early on Saturday morning and listening to the Spanish music and dedications, he loved to dance and sing along with the music. Frank was one of the kindest man around, often giving to the homeless on the corners and never denying anyone that asked for help. He had the best sense of humor, although he endured many hardships in life, he still woke up every day with a smile on his face and always in a good mood especially when eating his favorite beans and Chile or playing with his dog Panchito. Frank was a devote Catholic and had 4 sons and 10 grandchildren, many niece, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, he will be missed by many. You are no longer in pain Frank, Rest in Peace my soldier, Rest in Peace! Special shout out to Isabel, Freddy, Sharla,and husband Dominic that Aalso thank you to my mother Patricia and sisters for helping me get through this.
