John Frederick Krueger went home to Jesus on May 18, 2020 at age 64. John was born to Martin and Delores on March 3, 1956 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and was baptized at First Lutheran Church. In the summer of 1967, John's family moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he attended Good Shepherd Lutheran School located across the street from their home. He was confirmed at Good Shepherd in 1970. He went on to attend West High School. He began his college career at Phoenix College and graduated with a Chemistry degree from Arizona State University. He began his work career at Litton Systems. John met his wife, Karen, (nee Busse) in 1987 skiing near Pinetop, Arizona. They married on May 5, 1990 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Mesa, Arizona, and went on to have two children, Jamie and Aaron. In 1996, they moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where John accepted a position at Sumitomo Corporation. They joined Shepherd Lutheran Church in Albuquerque where Jamie and Aaron attended grade school. John was an active member of his church and demonstrated an unwavering faith in God as he faced the challenges of his illness in the last decade of his life. He loved watching his ASU Sun Devil football team, hunting, camping, playing golf, and spending time with his family. John joins his parents, father-in-law Rollin Busse, and brother-in-law Greg Busse, in heaven. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Karen, and children, Jamie and Aaron, as well as his siblings and spouses: Robert (Paula) Krueger (Phoenix, AZ); Rene (Gus) Koutia (Glendale, AZ); Linda (Jay) Meshay (Phoenix, AZ); his mother-in-law, LaVerne Busse (Stevens Point, WI); brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Larry (Karen) Busse (Stevens Point, WI); Jeff (Sandee) Busse (Westbend, WI); Laura Busse (Maple Grove, MN); and his many nieces and nephews.
