Warner Robins, GA.-CMSgt, Roy Paul Velvick (Ret.), 86 passed away Saturday March 12, 2016. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday March 16, 2016 at 3:00PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Flowers are welcomed or donations can be made to Parkinson’s disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway Suite 1509, New York, New York, 10018 or the AMDF/American Macular Degeneration Foundation, P.O.Box 531313, Henderson, NV, 89053. Roy was born on November 10, 1929 in Thayer, Nebraska to the late James and Birdie Velvick. He served his country proudly for 30 years in the United States Air Force. After his retirement he worked at the Office of Personnel Management where he later retired after 26 years of service. Roy attended the Robins Air Force Base Chapel and was a member of the Robins Skeet Club. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Pamela Judith Velvick; sister, Shirley Swanson, Albuquerque New Mexico; one brother, James Velvick, Jamestown, Colorado. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret G. Velvick, Warner Robins, GA; two daughters, Melanie V. Eblen, Centerville, GA; Susan V. (Philip) Munoz, Foley, Missouri; four grandchildren, Amanda Eblen, Alexander Munoz, Ryan Munoz, Miranda Munoz and his beloved cat, Bobby.
