Warner Robins, GA. – Gerald D. “Jerry” Reppert, Sr. passed away on Friday, July 22, 2016. Jerry was born on January 22, 1934 in Reading, Pennsylvania to the late Samuel and Emma Reppert. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant with the 7th Logistics Squadron. He retired from Huckabee Auto after 30 years of service. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church since 1962. Jerry had a great passion for music and theater. He was a professional drummer in bands like “Zeke and The Prairie Playboys” and was also a studio session drummer and recorded with artists such as Wayne Cochran “Last Kiss” and Otis Redding “Mr. Pitiful”. His drumming continued at Northside High School for over 20 years playing with the live orchestra for their annual Spring Musical. He served as the Choir Director at First Presbyterian Church for 25 years, as well as playing drums in the Praise Band. Jerry was an actor, set builder, and director for numerous shows for the Warner Robins Little Theater for 25 years starting with “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” in 1991 and ending with his final show “The Hallelujah Girls” in 2016 and served on its Board of Directors for 20 years. He loved introducing new people to theater especially children. He achieved that by directing shows for the Warner Robins Children’s Theater and for the Centerville Elementary School PTO for their annual musical. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Sue Reppert of Warner Robins: children, Gerald “Jay” Reppert, Jr. (Becky) of Guyton, Georgia, June Clinkenbeard (Rick) and Pam Watson (Robbie) both of Warner Robins; siblings, Mike, Willie, John, Jim, and Joanne, all from Pennsylvania. He loved being “Papa” to his five grandchildren Jessica Wilkerson (Jeremy), Robert and John Reppert, Chip and Jared Watson, and his two great-grandchildren Logan and Wylde Wilkerson. His memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at 4:00PM in First Presbyterian Church with visitation starting at 3:00PM. Following the service will be the burial at Magnolia Park Cemetery. Reverend Paula Hoffman will officiate. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Warner Robins Little Theater, 502 S. Pleasant Hill Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088 or to First Presbyterian Church, 1139 Watson Blvd., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
