Centerville, GA: William ?Bill? Meredith, 72, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2007. Services will be private. Mr. Meredith was born in Washington, D.C. to the late James L. Meredith & Julia Mae Smith. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Meredith. Mr. Meredith was a retired key and lock supervisor with the United States Postal Service and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was an avid bowler, golfer but his love was horse racing. Survivors include his wife, Julia Meredith of Centerville, children, William Gerald Meredith and Theresa Meredith both of Washington, D.C., Michelle Meredith of Hyattsville, MD, Christopher Meredith of Plano, TX and Logan Meredith of Centerville,GA, three sisters, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Sally Meredith of MD, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
