Bert Jacquez

Bert Jacquez, age 52, a resident of Santa Cruz, NM, passed away on Thursday July 30, 2020. Bert was preceded in death by his brother Daniel Jacquez, his Paternal grandparents Julian and Dolores Jacquez and Maternal grandparents Leopoldo and Feliz Lujan. Bert was a well-known musician and songwriter, he performed with "Jimmy Jo and the Bros" and later joined the family band with his brothers "Los Jacquez." Bert was always willing to help anyone that needed help. Bert was a loving father to his son Julian Martinez. Bert loved to cook and everyone loved the salsa he would make. Bert is survived by his parents Eloy and Rosina Jacquez, his companion of 29 years Juanita Martinez, Son Julian Martinez, Brothers and Sister, Joseph Jacquez and companion Carol, Orlando Jacquez and companion Debra, Eloy Jacquez and wife Brenda, Larry Jacquez and wife Berlinda and Geraldine Jacquez-Trujillo and husband Leonard, Sister-in-Law Debbie Jacquez, Step daughter he raised Amanda Griego and husband Jose, Step son he raised Emilio Martinez and step grandchildren he loved very much Joseph Martinez, Jose and companion Gina, Luis and Giovanna Griego, Stephanie and Christina Aguino, Jayden and Zaydrianna Jaramillo, Sherry Romero and Cheryl Archuleta , Aunts and Uncles Tonita Garcia and Clyde, Donellia Griego and Tony, Alfonso Lujan and Dollie, and Julia Griego, close cousins Kathy Herrera and Manny Morfin and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Holy Cross Church Santa Cruz, NM on Tuesday August 11, 2020 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Santa Cruz de la Canada Cemetery. Due to COVID-19, the Church is only allowing 65 people max capacity, which includes immediate family, close aunts, uncles, close cousins and close friends to attend the Mass.
