Warner Robins, GA. – William Michael Peterson, Sr. passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016 after an extended illness. Services for Mr. Peterson will be held at 11:00AM Monday, December 12, 2016 in the Heritage Memorial Chapel. A visitation will be held Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 7:00PM to 9:00PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Born on August 4, 1951, Mr. Peterson was a 1989 graduate of the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University with Juris Doctorate. He practiced law for over 20 years in Warner Robins for Grantham & Peterson as well as privately before retiring in 2010. Peterson was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he was an engineer. He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Willie Peterson, and his step-father Sam Beeland. Mr. Peterson is survived by his wife, Lorraine (Sandy) Peterson, his brother, Johnny Peterson and his sister Abbie Stone, his children, Billy Peterson, Jason Peterson and Emily Proctor; grandchildren Trent O’Brien, Michael Peterson, and MacKenzie Peterson; Tyler and Billy Proctor; and Addison and Connor Peterson.
