Sofie Regalado

Sofie Regalado, 80, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, beloved mother, wife, grandmother, sister, died on April 8, 2020. Sofie died at home amongst loving family members in her last days. She was born on February 27, 1940 in Peralta, New Mexico to Eufelia Garcia and Perfecto Perea. Sofie grew up in Peralta, New Mexico and moved to Albuquerque to attend Albuquerque High School. She had an enjoyable career with Sunbell, and Philips where she worked between 1983 – 2003 in operations before retirement, where she met many great people she called friends. She traveled when she could with husband Avelino to Mexico, Las Vegas, and with daughters to San Diego California to visit her son Johnny, and she went with grandchildren Lorenzo and Leiloni to Disney land a couple of times. Sofie is survived by her husband Avelino Regalado, daughters Betty Jaramillo, Mary Rose Sanchez, sons Michael Montano, Johnny Perea, Richard Montano, and Vincent Acevedo, sister Rosaline Garcia, brother Lawrence Garcia, Niece Margie Baca, Nephew Nick Garcia, and many other nieces and nephews, She is preceded in death by her brother Toby Perea, and Mother Eufelia Perea, Sofie was blessed with 12 grand-children, 8 great grand-kids, 2 great great grand-kids, and many other friends and family. Sofie built her life around her family and friends and her deep love, strength and integrity will greatly be missed. A graveside memorial service "Celebration of Life" will be held at Mount Calvary Cemetery at 1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102 on August 21, 2020, at 9:00 am.
