Johnny R Hernandez

Johnny Robert Hernandez, 68, passed away on September 22, 2020 in Rio Rancho, NM after battling cancer. Johnny was born on November 2, 1951 to Benjamin and Mary (Arroyo) Hernandez. Johnny was a proud retired Gunnery Sergeant of the United States Marine Corp. He also worked in the financial field following his military retirement. He was an avid muscle car enthusiast and loved fast cars, but his favorite ones were his Stingray Corvettes. He is survived by his daughters, AnneMarie Hernandez of Huntington Beach, CA, Valerie Ann Collins of Sierra Vista, AZ; his sister Diane Diaz of Las Cruces, NM; his brother Ben Hernandez, Jr. and Rhonda, of Rio Rancho, NM; Grandchildren, Brandon Anderson and Erinn, Maira Anderson, Clark, Sidney, Luke and Penelope Collins; Great grandchildren, Luna, Charlie and Holland Anderson; He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mom, Mary, in 2008, his sister, Joanna in 2015 and his dad, Benjamin Sr., in 2020. A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Sandy's Ranch in Los Lunas, NM. The Hernandez family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Riverside Funeral Home where cremation will take place.
