MaryAnn was a loving mother, sister, aunt, a wonderful neighbor and friend. She believed in God and was always helping everyone and anyone in any way that she could. Whether it was making you dinner, giving you a ride somewhere, or just being there to listen and give advice. MaryAnn was a very humble woman, and always showed you just how much she cared about you in one way or another. She prayed for everyone and took the time to check on you if you were down. Her favorite pastime was to invite you over to enjoy a cup of coffee and a sweet treat that she had baked. MaryAnn was a very creative person who loved to create. She loved to sew and she was an amazing baker. She loved to cook and plan parties for all occasions. She was involved with many organizations such as: the American Legion, women's axillary and she was also a chaplain in her division. She was also a member of The Moose lodge and the Zapata club, where she would donate money or items for fundraisers, cook and sell food to raise money as well. She was an asset to many of these places and she made lasting relationships with those that helped her. She taught her children that giving back to people was a reward and not a bother, She was a blessing to many Veterans as well, she would visit the veterans hospital, take gifts, games or undergarments for them because they were alone, especially for the holidays. She would deliver meals for them so they had something to eat. She was an angel here on earth. MaryAnn loved the Lord and he loved and blessed her with many gifts such as: patience and kindness. Strangers would always approach her just to strike up conversation because they could see how bright her sprit shined. Her ability to reach everyone at any age was amazing because she could relate to anyone and not judge any of them. She made everyone feel comfortable. MaryAnn was a great dancer and she loved to sing and have fun. There wasn't a dance contest she and Mike didn't win. Sometimes they didn't even know it was a contest. Her greatest memories were singing with her sisters and being with her family. She was most happy to go to Villanueva and see her parents and family. She was always in style and always took care of her brothers, sisters and other family members who had to come to Albuquerque to start working. She was a mother figure to a lot of them and kept in touch with them throughout her life. Beginning at a very young age, Maryann became a very strong and independent woman. MaryAnn loved life, never took it for granted and gave thanks to the Lord for every day. She will forever be in our hearts and will be missed dearly every day.
