Margaret Ann Deroo March 17, 1924 – September 19, 2013 Margaret Ann Deroo 89, of Greeley, passed away on September 19, 2013 at Gray Cara West Care Center in Evans. She was born March 17, 1924 in Platteville, to Harold and Stella (Bannon) Vollmar. She is a graduate of Platteville High School and Barnes Business College in Denver. Margaret worked at Columbia Pictures in Denver until she married Wilfred Deroo February 23, 1949 at St. Nicholas Church in Platteville. They lived in Gilcrest and farmed there until Wilfred’s death on May 15, 1987. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greeley. Survivors include her sons: Rodney (Candi) of Greeley, Cary (Nataliya) of Greeley and Kevin (Patti) of Margate, New Jersey; a twin brother, Justin Vollmar (Dorothy) of Westminster CO; five grandchildren: Michele Gerk (Alan) of Illiff, CO, Eric Deroo of Greeley, CO, Ryan Deroo of Margate, NJ, Kyle Deroo of Margate, NJ, and Yasmina Shaush of Greeley and three great-grandchildren: Raegan, Tanner and Tayten Gerk all of Iliff, CO. She was preceded in death by a sister Shirley Madden. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday September 24, 2013 at Adamson Funeral Chapel.Interment at Mizpah Cemetery in Platteville. Services are under the direction of Carroll-Lewellen Funeral & Cremation Services in Longmont. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society in Margaret’s name c/o Carroll-Lewellen, 503 Terry Street, Longmont, Colorado 80501.
