WARNER ROBINS, GA-Reverend James D. McCullough, Jr., went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 5, 2017. A Funeral service will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside service will be for family only. Visitation will be held on Saturday October 7, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00PM. Reverend Tim Millwood and Reverend Bill Martin will officiate. Rev. McCullough was born on January 11, 1947 in Macon, GA. to the late James and Lois McCullough Sr. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. After getting out of the service he later went to work at Robins Air Force Base where he retired after 34 years. He was a minister for 25 years at New Life Baptist. He loved the Lord and the church with all his heart and it showed in his life. His favorite pass time was hunting, fishing and camping. James was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother who loved his family and will be greatly missed. The world lost a very special person and is a little less beautiful without him. He is preceded in death by his parents. His loving memory will forever be cherished by his wife of 17 years, Frances Smith; children, Tonja Robinson (Russell Stepp), Warner Robins; Sonja (Calvin) Bartlett, Atlanta; Anthony “Tony” (Candace Wasden) McCullough; Warner Robins; Tracy (Kent) McBride, Warner Robins; David (Sabrina) Giddens, Valdosta; 14 grandchild, 7 great grandchildren and 2 sisters, Patricia Padgett, Douglasville; Judy Rodriguez, Fort Worth, Texas.
