Donald Wayne Sandoval

The Lord called home one of his angels, and it is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our deeply loved husband, father, papo, brother, son, uncle and friend. Donald Wayne Sandoval, 61, of NM, passed away unexpectedly at Christus St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe, NM on November 27, 2020 due to a fall that led to a brain bleed during his battle with Covid 19. Wayne attended Tucumcari High School and graduated a proud Rattler in 1977. He was an avid sports fan, his favorite teams were Indianapolis Colts, LA Dodgers and LA Lakers. He was in auto sales for over 30 years serving his community with great customer service and integrity. His hobbies were traveling, concerts, cars, camping and making memories with his family. He was a kind, gentle and humble person who never had a negative word to say about anyone. Wayne had a sense of humor that lit up a room, with a warm smile and amazing personality that filled people's hearts. He will be greatly missed, 7th Street crusader forever. Donald Wayne Sandoval, also known as "Baby Wayne" was born in Tucumcari, NM to Christian and Mary Sandoval. He is preceded in death by his father Christian Sandoval. He is survived by his mother Mary; his wife Charlene of 42 beautiful years; his son Steven Sandoval; his daughter April Sandoval; his grandchildren, Ava, Ariana, Angel, Genesis, Canaan and Daymyan; his brothers Fred and Charles Sandoval; his sister Frances Sandoval. He is further survived by nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. Riverside Funeral Home of Santa Fe is handling the cremation for Donald Wayne Sandoval. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, funeral services will not be held at this time, his family will honor him in a private ceremony to celebrate his life. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Sandoval, Joseph Sandoval, Paul Martinez, Samuel Dunn, Anthony Montano, Levi Montano, Kevin Perkins, Jason Beltran and Don Watts.
