Henry Martinez, 78, of Rio Rancho. died January 12, 2021 in his home. Suny was born September 12, 1942 in Socorro, New Mexico, to Jose and Romalia Martinez. He completed high school, attended college and entered the United State Navy. He worked and retired from the City of Albuquerque. He enjoyed watching the Raiders, golf, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and The Price is Right. He enjoyed being a grandfather and Popo. He had 4 grandchildren, Krystol, Tanya, Christopher Jr., and Desiree Martinez. He had 6 great grandchildren: Isabel, Gabriela, David, Jasmine, Joshua, Jacob and 2 bonus great grandchildren, Devon and Savannah. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Geraldine Martinez; son, Christopher Martinez, brother Arthur Martinez, and sister, Adella Gabaldon. He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Martinez, his mother Romalia Martinez, brothers Joe Martinez, Robert Martinez and sister Mary Henderson.
